Welcome to Les Pierres Blanches! Named after the quartz outcrop upon which it sits, the farm is located on a wooded hillside in the north of the Creuse départment, within the Limousin Région.
Here you will find Limousin cows producing beef and Angora goats producing mohair. See produce and our shop. In addition we have a few extra furred and feathered friends to keep us company!
Les Pierres Blanches provides a diverse wildlife habitat; its mainly oak and chestnut woodland being home to deer; wild boar; foxes and red squirrels. The farm is an insect and bird haven. On a given day one might see several species of buzzard, kites, woodpeckers, warblers and occasionally migrating visitors on a quick pit stop such as cranes and ospreys.
The farm can be explored by a network of ancient ‘chemins’ or tracks, see activities. These link through the surrounding countryside arriving at ancient stone-built hamlets and villages built by the renowned ‘masons of the Creuse’ who were responsible for building much of the iconic architecture of Paris.
Les Pierres Blanches is run by a young family of Scots/Irish origin who fell in love with the Creuse and built up the farm business from scratch since arriving nearly four years ago. We like people and assure our visitors a warm welcome!
